Kidoland - App review

As much as I feel I’m a good Dad, my 4-year-old does spend a little too much time on an iPad, this has a lot to do with trying to be a parent to 20-month-old triplets who always require attention.

Although the iPad has a parent restriction installed on it, I’m always concerned about what he might be viewing while on YouTube. He always seems to be watching toy unwrapping videos or videos about surprise eggs, not exactly great education!!

As luck would have it, a few weeks ago I was approached to review an app called Kidoland, which upon first view looked like something that would actually develop as oppose to kill brain cells.

Kidloland has over 260 rhymes and educational songs and over 100 games and activities. It is brightly coloured, interactive, stimulating and educational. It requires user participation and doesn’t leave your little one sat there staring aimlessly at the screen. It is pitched at 2-5 year olds and whilst I do believe there is something for most in this bracket but I do feel that children of toddler age would gain the biggest benefit.

The app has so many features that my 4-year-old loves. It has things like; nursery rhymes, ABC songs, Phonics, Numbers, Animal Kingdom, Fruits & Vegetables, Shapes, Months & Days, and much more.

The colours are bright and the images/videos are vivid and adorable. It is extremely educational and fun at the same time. My son loves the section that teaches him about professions, he now knows what an archaeologist is and does and it’s completely down to the app.

We love it and would highly recommend it to families with small children!

So even if you don’t take my word for it, check out all the reasons below that this app is just fab.
